ok well, everything was going fine. I installed fedora core 5 which took 2+ hours, but when it came to the screen asking for the add on cd, when i inserted it i would get some sort of error.

I tried reburning the disc on both cd and dvd at low speeds, and its still get the error. so i had to end the installation there.

now when i boot up linux, it goes to the prompt screen with the little penguins?

what happened? why cant i install the add on cd? and can i use linux without the add on cd? or can i still install the cd without having to go through the whole install process again?
