Call me dumb, but I bought a Razer Megalodon (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-megalodon/) expecting it to work with my PS3....and it doesn't. According to Razer's website under their FAQ for the device, its not compatible. Which blows my mind. =\
Do we know why its not compatible or won't work? Is it a hardware issue and not a software / driver issue with the PS3 / device itself?
Worst case, without returning my Megalodon (already opened), could I theoretically connect the optical out to my PC and then play that through my Megalodon connected via usb to my PC? Would there be any way to get mic input to the ps3 then?

The PS3 does not have DRIVERS like a PC has, it only has certain devices it will work with. It will not work plugged into any of the the PS3s USB ports. You even READ it was not compatible, and bought it for your PS3 anyway? If you want it for the PS3, then return it, it WILL NOT WORK.
If you want to believe OTHERWISE, then my part in this thread is over.

No unfortunately I didn't know it was non-compatible until after I opened it. I just figured, Razer a gaming hardware company, with a new usb 7.1 headset, would obviously work with my PS3. But i was wrong ![]()
Could it be something fixed by Razer updating the firmware in the future?
