Its not CoD6 and no you cant connect the PS3 to the PC. You can connect 360 and PC through Live. You have to have the Live client installed on your PC and pay the fee to use the service.

That is incorrect...  There is a FREE on-line service that uses the PC as the gateway, and hosts the software that emulates LAN play, over WAN.    This works for ALL game consoles if you know what you're doing.  It is not just for, umm, banned XBOX360 consoles - hee hee hee...

People also connect their PS3 to the PC for using Windows ICS (via crossover cable, just like XBOX), if they don't have a router.  Why would you say you cannot connect it to the PC, when you would have to if you don't have a router, and want to get on-line...

Xbox360 does not connect to a PC to go on to LIVE, don't know where you got that information either. If your XB is on the LAN, and a router behind that, it connects directly to live, NO PC is invloved uless you are using Windows ICS!

PLEASE do not relay false information without researching.

What he wants to do, is a plain old NO, not with PS3 because Sony does not have support for cross platform play, with PS3 & PC users.  That is something Microsoft is doing with some of their titles.

I simply answered the question he asked without getting all technical lol. I know about ICS and klink kai btw. Even with xlink kai you can't go cross platform. I've been thinking of using my banned xbox with xlink kai but then again I dont really play many games online.

It was the LAST sentence in my post...  Wow, talk about the lack of schooling these days, seriously, are schools NOT teaching people how to read anymore?

no they still are but no one pays attention in school anymore (well most kids don't) i gotta say i didnt but then again i didn't just sit around in school either while not paying attention i would start reading up on stuff that i actually wanted to learn and not what the Florida school system (one of the worst in the US) thought i should know. and it seemed to do me good seeing as i was dual enrolled in college and high school at the same time.

what kids really want is a simple answer of yes or no. if its a no then they don't care why (usually). if its a yes they just want to know how to do it not why it is possible to do (usually).

I've tried that and it's basically impossible with xbox360 because microsoft required your ping be less than 20ms which isn't happening for pretty much everyone.  Unless there was something else also that can spoof(?) your ping which doesn't seem difficult.  My friend and I were trying to play CoD MW2 but, uh, for some reason we wanted to stay off live ;)

No, it still works, go to their site and read the forums.   People are still using the non live service to play games.  It does not work as LIVE does.   IT makes LOCAL LAN play, over WAN through the PC. People have been using it since the XB1 days.   LAN play requirements are different than WAN play through live.  XB Connect and those, turn LAN play over WAN, the XB360 thinks you are still LOCAL, and not WIDE...
