Out of these two games which game do you think is going to be the better one, or which one are you guys planning to get.
i hope theres a review and or a demo for prototype so i can compare the two, because i can only get one of them. but right now im leaning more towards infamous.

Obviously I haven't played Prototype yet, but just judging from the rather mediocre trailers I've seen, I'd say inFamous. I got it this morning, and it's fantastic - one of the best games I've played in a long, long time. Prototype looks too generic for my tastes - it seems to be more of a "mindless gore" game, while one of the best parts of inFamous is the amount of strategy that's required; it's not something where you can just jump into a group of bad guys and start spamming a single attack until everyone's dead. If you haven't downloaded the inFamous demo yet, go do so - it's on the PSN now; you don't need a code for it anymore.

You haven't needed the code for almost a week now...

I can't say which is better, but can say that inFamous kicks ass.
I am falling asleep at work right now because I didn't want to stop playing
last night to get some sleep.
I only wish there was a health bar to see instead of the screen going b/w.
It is pretty damn cool, regardless of that minor detail.

inFAMOUS is FUN, thats all there is to it. I was up until 2am last night playing and only realized it was 2am because my girl wanted me to come to bed.
Prototype doesnt look bad, i like mindless gore and i might pick it up if people (that aren't 360 fan boys) recommend it.

I've not seen anything about Prototype but always planned to get inFamous anyway....after trying the demo though I'm still gonna get it but I expected it to be much better. Maybe it will be in the full version.

I really enjoyed the demo myself, but I'll admit, I don't think the demo really illustrates how good the story aspect of the game really is. You kind of find yourself getting quickly drawn into it; I really like the "comic book" style of the story and art.

BTW, speaking of the inFamous comic book style - they FINALLY finished the prequel comic book and uploaded the entire thing to the IGN website over the weekend: http://infamous.ign.com. Been waiting for that to get finished for weeks! It gives a better feel for the storyline heading into the game - but the ending is still a lot better.

infamous looks alot better. it looks and feels like a city. prototype, from all the screens and trailers, its simple looking and bland. i'm reminded of spiderman 2 where is was about the city slinging, and not the city itself.
but lets be honest. the story for infamous is super straight foward comic story. bad thing happens, i have to do stuff about it. oh wait, end of story twist.

I now have both games and decided that you can't really compare the two as much as it seams, besides both being sandbox games.
INFAMOUS
- slow paced (compared to prototype)
- much more "shooting electricity" than fighting
- better graphics
- you CLIMB up walls through parts of buildings
- very good textured walls and buildings
- very good draw distance
- you feel more apart of the city, through the people around you, how you interact
PROTOTYPE
- VERY fast paced
- feels very arcade like (just beat up everyone sorta game...feels a lot like spider-man)
- run up walls, R2 pretty much makes you avoid everything (eg. cars, you don't need to jump over)
- Not very detailed buildings; bland at times
- Graphics seem "average" at times; not the best
- Some-what good draw-distance (all buildings are seen)
- You are not very interacting with environment, you more blow through everything, light-posts [etc], you can just blow through them by just walking into them
