awesome! can't wait! but I assume it needs to be hard-wired ethernet and not wireless, since WoL doesn't work for wireless cards.. unless you have performed a miracle :p
don't know why anyone would use wireless on their PS3 anyway, it's the most useless wireless card I've ever had the inconvenience of using.
any chance of a rough timeframe for the next release? just curious as I can't wait to test this out!!

Ok you can use the Wol with the wireless card i use it all the time . I have no problems with the wireless card . BUt any way ready for 1.3 dash lol.![]()

how does WoL work with the wireless card? for it to work, the card would have to be constantly powered and listening for the packet, correct me if I'm wrong.
how do you use WoL with your ps3 and for what purpose? I can't see any reason to without the next version of Open Remote Play.. unless of course you're from the future :p

finally! got 1.2 beta working, turns out it was just a problem with DHCP client conflict in my router.
I have a suggestion though.. when I use PlayTV, Open Remote Play thinks it has lost connection from the PS3 while the PS3 changes screen resolutions down to 720p, and the counter gets to 14/16 or 15/16 sometimes and this is on LAN.. so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind upping the timeout to maybe 32 seconds? I'd love to see the next version ported over to iPhone and I'd be willing to help out if you need any. obviously it'd have to be an unofficial app. aka, Cydia.

Just wondering how the 1.3 build is coming along? I'm still holding off installing the 2.80 firmware.
For what it's worth, I don't think the 2.80 update was a direct attempt to prevent the use of ORP, the update is known to have fixed full screen streaming of VidZone to the PSP. Which would probably explain why there were changes in the video streaming protocol.
Thanks for your work on this so far...

It's pretty much ready-to-go... there is still the out-standing issue with audio/video desync, but I'm going to implement a hack that works for most situations. I've just been really busy at work so I haven't had much time to spend on ORP.

Well, I know for a fact that 2.80 purposely blocks ORP. I know *exactly* what the problem is and trust me, it's not a side-effect of some other feature/upgrade. Sony is purposely injecting bad bytes of data (after video key-frame encryption) if the client's MAC address doesn't match that of the registered PSP. This is intentional...

I had already SAID 2.80 was made to block ORP, then here you have people saying "I don't think the 2.80 update was a direct attempt to prevent the use of ORP" - bla bla bla, when I said this from the beginning, that is was. Again, people don't friggin' listen... Dashhacker, agrees too, so why the I don't think this or that? If anyone would know, it's the developer of ORP, who is RIGHT HERE telling so...

2.80 was made to fix the VidZone issue. That's why you can't launch VidZone any more without upgrading to 2.80. If Sony was worried about ORP, wouldn't they have made 2.80 required for access to the PSN?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they didn't slip something extra into the update because of ORP, but this is a good thing. It means if dashhacker can work around the 2.80 issue, it's less likely that ORP will be blocked in the future.

i think 3.00 will be out soon
and ORP may need a update (after the 2.80 fix) to work with 3.00

...or, if you're on 2.80 like me, you can spoof your PC's MAC address setting it to your PSP's, as discussed above and here: http://code.google.com/p/open-rp/wiki/FAQ
that works for me.

Looks like ORP will work with 3.00 ok:

Any ETA on a new windoze release DashHacker? I've waited patiently for WOL.

Sorry to keep ya waiting... I just haven't had much time to work on ORP over the last month, work has been really busy. Before I release v1.3, these are the things I'd like to complete:
- Add proper audio+video synchronization (I'm STILL working on this - this is really important!)
- Complete universal build system (Linux is done, OSX and Windows to do)
- Complete custom keyboard bindings
As far as a v1.3 ETA goes, I have one week left before vacation... I have dead-lines to meet at work before I go. During my two weeks off, I'll have a chance to complete some of the above. So, I would expect to have something stable for release before the end of September. Still hoping for someone with programming experience to lend a hand.
After v1.3 is out, then I will continue my work on hooking the PSP kernel to spoof a configurable MAC address. That way you'll be able to register your laptop or PC's MAC to get around the checks added to FW 2.80.
Here are a few new screen-shots just for fun:

Take your time man... some of us know what it's like to work on something we aren't getting paid for. It can be fun (otherwise we wouldn't do it at all) but real life is always a priority.
A/V sync is important so I'll advise everyone else to just chill while that gets worked out.
